EastEnders viewers are convinced they have worked out when Cindy Beale will return to the BBC soap and it's very soon
New spoilers released on the BBC EastEnders website have teased a huge episode coming up, amid speculation from viewers about a mystery new character called Rose Knight.
The Knights recently arrived in Walford and George Knight's past came under question, over the revelation that his wife was missing.
It's been revealed that George's wife Rose walked out on him and the girls when they were younger, around nine years ago, while her fate and what really happened has not been confirmed.
But new spoilers have revealed that an upcoming episode will finally confirm the whole truth, amid fans believing Rose could actually be Cindy in a twist.
Cindy was confirmed to be returning last month, with The Mirror revealing actress Michelle Collins would be reprising the role - over 20 years after she was killed off off-screen.
No details have been confirmed about her return plot or when it will air, but it's thought she is returning with her ex Ian Beale.
Fans have been piecing clues together and have come up with a theory that Rose is Cindy, after Cindy faked her death in the 90s.
A new episode synopsis for the scenes airing on June 22 reads: "The truth about what happened to Rose Knight is finally revealed."
Now, fans are speculating that this big episode could be the moment Cindy returns, regardless of if she turns out to be Rose or not.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Hold on tight I think this could be Cindy Beale's ICONIC return episode."
Another fan said: "Only Cindy could come back from the dead under an assumed name!!"
A third viewer tweeted: "34 minute long episode and a short synopsis. This is definitely giving special episode energy."
Meanwhile, a fourth comment read: "Cindy Beale and Ian Beale return date confirmed??" and a fifth tweet read: "If I had to guess I’d say this could be a Linda & George two-hander with Cindy & Ian (if Cindy is Rose) ending the episode in France after the “truth” is revealed."
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
