After Friday's shooting horror, all hope seemed lost for Ben and Callum when Whitney found out about their secret affair.
But tonight the pair were reunited as Ben woke up from his coma — and viewers were left in tears when it was revealed that there was still hope for Ballum after all.
When he found out Ben had come around, Callum rushed to the hospital to discuss their secret getting out.
He fretted over his sexuality, but Ben promised that they would take it slow.
When he burst into Ben's room at the hospital the nurse told him that it was only family allowed, and in a surprisingly sweet move Phil Mitchell said that Callum was part of their family.
"Still alive then?" Callum asked when they were finally alone. "I thought you were gonna die."
"We're tricky to get rid of us Mitchells," Ben said.
When he joked that his new bullet wound would make a good picture for his dating profile Callum snapped, telling him not to joke about it.
Callum said: "I just want things to go back to how they were."
Ben told him that the hard bit was out of the way and he was now out of the closet.
And when Callum wasn't sure about their relationship, Ben promised they wouldn't rush into anything.
He said: "There was this guy I was getting to know, and I was thinking maybe when I'm back on my feet, I'm moving around, why don't we go and get a pint or something?"
"Yeah, I reckon that might be all right," Callum said blushing.
The pair's last scene was them holding hands over Ben's hospital bed.
The reunion left EastEnders viewers in floods of tears.
