EastEnders fans couldn't believe their eyes as Shirley Carter underwent a transformation on the BBC soap on Monday.
The character looked nothing like her usual appearance, with many instead claiming she looked like another Walford resident.
In fact, viewers questioned if she was trying to impersonate former rival Sharon Watts because she looked so much like her.
The character donned a wig to help pal Jean Slater celebrate getting rid of her own, after her hair had begun to grow back following cancer treatment.
Her natural short blonde hair was hidden underneath a long wavy blonde hair piece.
The sleek hairdo was completed with a short fringe.
Shirley was loving the new look, confessing to Jean and Mo Harris how good she looked with longer locks.
But she wasn't alone with this claim, with viewers at home equally as impressed with the makeover.
With many in meltdown over her epic look, others pointed out she looked a lot like Sharon who has the same hair.
Some began to question if she'd modelled her new look on her former enemy.
One fan said: "Is Shirley dressed as her icon and secret love, Ms Sharon Mitchell-Watts?"
Another tweeted: "Shirley in a wig. A sight I never knew I needed until now."
A third added: "Shirley in that wig!"
Meanwhile, a fourth said: "Shirley giving off Sharon vibes in that wig."
This was echoed by a fifth viewer who tweeted: "Shirley and Mo been watching Disney+? Thought that was Hannah Montana and Lola for a minute."
Sadly the wig was just for fun, and she ditched it later on in the episode and returned to normal.
EastEnders airs Mondays at 8pm, and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
