EastEnders fans have been left devastated for Gray Atkins' kids - after they found out the extent of their dad's crimes.
Mack and Mia were there when Gray came to Karen's house and tried to get her to help him escape, but whilst he called them over to be with him, the kids stayed with Karen and he ran into the night - before later being caught by police.
During tonight's show, Mack and Mia returned to school and Mitch was adamant that the family must tell the kids what happened to their mum Chantelle Atkins, before they were told the truth elsewhere.
Struggling, Karen tried to tell them how Gray had murdered Chantelle - but she couldn't go through with it.
Mitch tried to take over - but was, too, lost for words as Keegan decided he had to be the one to tell them what happened.
"Your dad is a bad man, and your dad has hurt a lot of people. And some of those people that your dad hurt, they can't come back. I'm sorry that you have to hear this, I really am," he said through tears.
"But your grandad is right. I promise none of this is your fault - but you need to know what happened, all of it. And the person your dad hurt most of all was your mum. And she didn't deserve that, cause your mummy was amazing and we all loved her very much ok?"
He was in tears himself as he admitted to failing his sister over what Gray did to their family.
"Me, I should have protected her but I didn't and I'm sorry, but I couldn't - because your mummy was so brave and she kept smiling," he told them as he heaped praise on Chantelle for being so strong.
"She kept smiling so none of us knew what was really happening. None of us knew what a bad bad man your daddy really was."
Fans of the BBC One soap took to Twitter to comment on the heartbreaking scenes.
"This is so emotional! The two kid actors in this scene (Mack and Mia) are doing really well! #Eastenders," one wrote.
A second added: "SOMEONE JUST GIVE KEEGAN A HUG ALREADY #EastEnders," as a third shared online: "Gray's poor, poor kids. Zack [Morris, who plays Keegan] did a blinder there #EastEnders."
"Omg this scene, I’m crying I can’t cope #EastEnders," a fourth penned.
