The exit storyline of EastEnders favourite Isaac Baptiste has apparently been revealed on the BBC soap, after actor Stevie Basaula confirmed he has left the role.
BBC spoilers revealed that Isaac would be told some worrying news, leading to him making a big decision, which involves leaving Walford.
Isaac has heard worrying news from his mother Sheree, Patrick's ex, who told him that she has had a heart attack in Trinidad, which could be the reason he leaves Walford.
She now wants him to head there to join her, to help her recover from her health battle.
Isaac has been understandably concerned for his mother and keen to care for her, while Kim is unsure Sheree can be trusted after her previous antics.
But despite feeling conflicted, Isaac has decided to leave the next day to be with his mum in Trinidad.
When his dad Patrick and girlfriend Lola found this out, they were stunned and not exactly approving of him leaving so soon.
Lola was furious with Isaac after he failed to tell her what’s going on, with him revealing he has to help his mum in her time of need.
But with it known the actor has left the role, is this how he will depart the show for good?
EastEnders viewers took to Twitter to react to Isaac’s upcoming departure, with many mourning the loss of a fan favourite.
One upset fan wrote: “ISAAC PLS DONT LEAVE” as another tweeted: “Isaac's last day on the Square I'm not ready.”
Another fan wrote: “it’s just sunk in that Isaac is literally leaving TONIGHT??? that’s not his exit, surely not.”
One wrote: “Welp, guess the secret is out. I feel bad for Lola. Isaac is just up and leaving.”
Another asked: “Is this how Issac leaves?”
He posted a message that read: "2 incredible years in the bag! Made some memories, made some friends and made some work I’m really proud of.
"It was no easy decision to leave, but it feels like the right time to close this extraordinary chapter. Thank you Isaac Baptiste for choosing me to walk in your shoes, I hope I gave you enough of me.
"To those of you that made space for Isaac in your hearts, thank you, the love was truly felt."
EastEnders producer Kate Oates also confirmed the news in a statement, revealing: "Stevie has been a huge asset to EastEnders during his time here; not least through his incredible performance across Isaac's schizophrenia story.
"As a member of the Trueman family, he will always be a part of one of our most iconic families. We will miss him, and wish him well in his new ventures."
