EastEnders fans all say the exact same thing as Honey puts Emma in her place

EastEnders viewers have all been left saying the exact same thing following the latest episode of the BBC soap.

Tonight's instalment of the happenings of Albert Square's residents saw Jay ( Jamie Borthwick ) stopped from seeing Lola (Danielle Harold) by Emma (Patsy Kensit) after the overprotective mother accused the undertaker of cheating on his wife.

EastEnders fans have increasingly grown suspicious of Emma as she meddles in Lola and Jay's marriage, with some viewers suspecting she is hiding her true motives from her long-lost daughter.

But viewers rejoiced during this evening's episode of the long-running soap, as Honey ( Emma Barton ) decided to help the young couple out and have it out with Emma.

As Emma and Lola made their way to the hospital for another MRI scan, Honey and Jay followed shortly after.

Honey opted to carefully let her pal know it was best Jay and Lola spent some time together alone and got the interfering mother away from the young couple.

"Well said Honey [clap emojis] you put Emma in her place #Eastenders," one fan declared on Twitter as the scene aired on BBC One.

"Well done Honey! You're going to have to watch that Emma. #eastenders," another agreed, as a third wrote: "Honey standing up against Emma and defending Jay. We love to see it. ( Fyi Jay and Honey can still be friends) #EastEnders."

One EastEnders fan felt Honey should have used violence to get her point across, tweeting: "You should have smacked Emma around the chops, Honey #EastEnders."

Patsy Kensit addressed Emma's behaviour during an appearance on The One Show on Wednesday night.

She said: "We're finding out that Emma is quite controlling and a bit of a troublemaker. She wants to come between Lola and Jay and cause trouble. She sees something that she doesn't quite like looking at and she makes it bigger than it is and she drives a wedge between them and it all unfolds."

"When we saw her before she was quite broken from her past and finding her daughter again but now she's back she's feisty and I've got to play some great scenes," she continued.

Viewers are here for a Honey and Emma friendship arc (BBC)

Despite enjoying seeing Emma put in her place by Honey this evening, EastEnders fans are still enjoying the two characters' blossoming friendship.

One tweeted: Having just watched tonight's #Eastenders Honey worked wonders for Emma! She obviously came round to her way of thinking, telling Lola at the end that there aren't many decent men like Jay around, & she apologised to him.

"I loved the moment with #Jola in the hospital. I think."

Another added: "A honey and Emma friendship? Im here for it!! I really hope Emma returns one day after she's left #EastEnders."

EastEnders airs on BBC One from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm.
