June Brown has reportedly left her almost £1 million fortune to her children following her death earlier this year.
The EastEnders star, who played Dot Cotton from 1985 to 2020, passed away age 95 in April this year.
And now details of her will have been reported, as the actress is said to have left her nearly £1 million fortune to her children.
June is survived by her children Chloe, Louise, William, Naomi and Sophie, who she shared with Robert Arnold.
The actress also had another daughter Chloe, who tragically passed away two weeks after she was born.
Before her death, June is said to have requested that her finances would be equally shared between her children, The Sun has reported.
June's death was announced in April. EastEnders bosses paid a heartbreaking tribute to June, writing: "We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved June Brown, OBE, MBE sadly passed away last night. There are not enough words to describe how much June was loved and adored by everyone at EastEnders, her loving warmth, wit and great humour will never be forgotten...
"June created one of the most iconic characters in Dot Cotton, not just in soap but in British television, and having appeared in 2884 episodes, June’s remarkable performances created some of EastEnders finest moments…
"We send all our love and deepest sympathies to June’s family and friends. A very bright light has gone out at EastEnders today - we shall all be raising a sweet sherry in June’s memory. Rest in peace, our dearest June. You will never be forgotten."
The talented actress' finances were not the only thing she had arranged prior to her passing as she had also arranged her funeral, too.
In an interview with The Scottish Herald in 2013, she told the interviewer she had her funeral all planned out.
Brown told the newspaper: "I want to be buried at sea. The Britannia Shipping Company drops you off round the Isle of Wight. I'll be in a nice white nightie and they wrap you in a balsa wood coffin and weight it. I must get it ordered."
June's love of the sea is thought to have come from her time serving in the Women's Royal Naval Service towards the end of the Second World War.
And during her time in the Navy, as she was based in Scotland, June discovered acting and won a place at the London Old Vic Theatre school, which she undertook after the war was over.
She rose to fame as the chain smoking, bible reciting Albert Square resident Dot Cotton. She played the role from 1985 to 2020.
June left the BBC soap, which recently paid tribute to her by recreating her first ever scene, under sad circumstances as she revealed she had left the soap "for good" in 2020.
Dot left Walford after discovering that Martin Fowler was responsible for stealing her savings, when in fact it was actually granddaughter Sonia. In her final scenes Dot left an emotional voicemail explaining she had gone to Ireland to visit her grandson Charlie.
After her exit, June revealed she had been disappointed in recent storylines and turned down the chance of signing a retainer contract but admitted it felt like she had been "bereaved".
She told former co-star Rani Singh on the Distinct Nostalgia podcast: "I don’t want a retainer for EastEnders, I’ve left. I’ve left for good.
"I’ve sent her off to Ireland and that’s where she’ll stay. I’ve left EastEnders."
