Danny Dyer admits he has spent thousands of pounds on gym equipment, but has lost 7lb from starving himself for 16 hours a day.
The EastEnders star, who sensationally said goodbye to Mick Carter in heartbreaking scenes on Christmas Day, said exercising is “b******s”. Danny, 45, revealed he spent thousands on state-of-the-art workout gear but doesn't use any of it due to his dislike for exercising.
In a recent interview, the actor has shared the secrets to his 7lb weight loss after daughter Dani, 26, voiced her concerns for her dad. He told The Mirror: "I had a gym built and my intention was to start running. [But now] I don’t think it’s good for the heart. Exercise… I think it’s b******s."
Danny said he's now relying on a mix of yoga and intermittent fasting which has helped him shed the lbs but is determined not to give up his Stella and crackers. The actor admits that while he sometimes eats his wife's home cooking, he often prefers to eat out.
He added: "My wife, sometimes she cooks me dinner. But if she’s cooking it with anger and banging pots around, it just tastes like s***. There’s a place called the Toby Carvery and you have to queue up for a roast… I’ve got a platinum card!"
This comes after dad and daughter duo Danny and Dani swore a staggering 74 times during an episode of their new travel show Absolutely Dyer: Danny And Dani Do Italy. The new series kicked off this weekend as the soap star educates his daughter on Italian cuisine and his love for food.
During one scene with particularly bad language, viewers saw Danny drive down jam-packed roads in Palermo, Sicily, telling Dani: "Look at this f***ing lunatic here in his Panda, fing hell, he's got the hump. They love a f***ing moped, don't they?"
The pair are also said to have used a string of curse words during a trek up an active volcano on the island of Stromboli. Danny reportedly said: "I need a strong lager because we are going to take on this ***t, it's bubbling away and making noises.
"I don't know if it's burping or what the f*** it's doing. Let's f***ing do it, hey."
