EastEnders character fights for life and Corrie teen injured: Soap highlights this week

There's violence on the soaps this week, as characters are left fighting for their loves after huge twists.

Emmerdale favourite Billy Fletcher is brutally beaten up and seriously injured, after being caught up in a racist attack.

Coronation Street teenager Max Turner could face death, as he's badly injured while attempting to run away - but will he be found in time?

Elsewhere, and there's a devastating attack on a character in EastEnders too, with the character in question left fighting for their life.

Viewers will have to tune in all of this week to find out the fates of those involved in the big scenes, amid other drama also occurring on the shows.

Emmerdale's Billy Fletcher hospitalised

Billy (Jay Kontzle) is in hospital this week after sustaining horrendous injuries from an attack - and he is left feeling broken as he tells Dawn that it was racially motivated.

Will and Dawn are convinced that justice will prevail, but Billy just isn't so sure.

It all kicks off when solicitor Ethan Anderson is put in a difficult situation, as he is tasked with defending the racist who attacks Billy, initially unaware of the case.

At the police station he meets Jordan, who has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Determined to make a good impression, Ethan takes on the case - but is left startled when he recognises the victim on the CCTV image - Billy.

Noah has been unable to accept his break-up with Chloe (ITV)

But will Billy be okay, and will Ethan regret considering taking on the case?

Elsewhere in the Dales, Noah continues to try and find any way he can to be around his ex Chloe, despite her telling him they will not get back together.

Noah has been unable to accept his break-up with Chloe and is continuing to obsess over her.

This week, Noah's behaviour escalates when he spots Chloe in the pub. When she's distracted, Noah seizes the opportunity to steal Chloe's phone... what is he up to?

Harvey Monroe has a week of turmoil in store on the BBC soap this week, as he receives devastating news about his son Aaron Monroe.

Aaron (Charlie Wernham) is in prison on EastEnders for various far-right activities and acts of violence, after his dad Harvey (Ross Boatman) turned him in to the police.

BBC spoilers have now revealed that Harvey is left shaken on the soap when he gets a disconcerting phone call.

He is told that son Aaron has been seriously injured and is now being treated in hospital.

In later scenes, Harvey is stunned by partner Jean’s nonchalant attitude when he tells her that Aaron's life is hanging in the balance.

But will the character pull through?

Corrie teen Max dies in horror accident?

Coronation Street teenager Max Turner could also face death (ITV)

Max Turner becomes involved in the love triangle between Daisy Midgeley, Nicky Wheatley and Daniel Osbourne this week - and it could have devastating consequences.

The story kicks off from Monday, April 25, when Daniel apologises to an unforgiving Daisy and reveals that it was Max who maliciously shared Nicky’s images with the rest of the school.

In the street, Daniel rails at Max for ruining Nicky’s life, only for dad David Platt to leap to Max’s defence.

The storyline reaches its terrifying conclusion on Friday, April 29, when Max has a huge fall out with David, who has confiscated his phone.

As Max climbs out of the barber’s, he lacerates his leg on the broken glass in the door and collapses onto the street (ITV)

Feeling guilty about recent events with Amy Barlow, he tells David he hates him - only for David to retaliate by saying Max’s mum would be ashamed of him if she were alive.

Planning to run away, Max smashes the glass on the barber’s door and climbs in, hoping to retrieve his phone.

But as Max climbs out of the barber’s, he lacerates his leg on the broken glass in the door and collapses onto the street. Will Max be found in time or could the break-in have fatal consequences?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, while EastEnders airs at the same time on BBC One on Mondays to Thursdays.

Corrie airs straight after Emmerdale at 8pm on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays.
