EastEnders has recast the role of Arthur Fowler on the BBC soap, with fans noticing on Monday that the child looked very different.
The son of Stacey Slater and Kush Kazemi, and stepson to Martin Fowler, was previously played by child actor Hunter Bell, aged six, for the past six years, since he was a baby.
But the actor has now been replaced, with a new child actor taking on the role for the foreseeable.
Rocco Brenner will now play the child amid a new storyline, following the reveal his dad Kush was murdered by Gray Atkins.
The little boy will take centre stage in upcoming scenes as he learns the truth about his father's death, and then relays the information elsewhere.
Now, actor Hunter has spoken about his exit on his official Instagram page as he bid farewell to the role, explaining it was his decision to leave.
Hunter also wished Rocco well in the role after he replaced him, as he explained he wanted to take on new ventures.
The six year old said: "After 6 years of my 6 year old life I have been a character on #bbcone most popular Soap EastEnders. From a Baby I was selected to Play #BabyArthur by the amazing @desouzie84.
"Since then I matured into the little Arthur Fowler you have all come to know and love.
"However, I personally made a decision that at 6 years old I want to try different things in life. So this is it, my final Hoorah…"
He went on: "I want to say a huge Thank you to everyone that made this happen," going on to thank his parents, his on-screen family and the team at the show.
Hunter added: "I will take a lot of memories from this amazing experience like my First steps, Working with the Legendary Dot Cotton, Phil Mitchel, and Patrick also meeting the amazing @patrickberginofficial.
"And last but not least Thank you to everyone that has supported me, shown me love, sent me amazing positive messages - it means so much. @bbceastenders it’s been a blast."
He later commented: "I want to say a HUGE congratulations to Rocco Brennan on replacing me as the new Arthur Fowler. I am sure you will be a huge success. Looking forward to watching you grow as I did for 6 years."
