East Midlands Railway (EMR) bosses have issued a statement as strikes by rail staff are expected to continue this weekend. Services were seriously affected by the action on Tuesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 23.
Over this weekend, strikes will continue which will mean there will be no train services running east of Nottingham. This includes Skegness and Lincoln.

There will be no direct trains from Luton and London St Pancras on Saturday or Sunday due to pre-planned engineering works. Customers have been advised to find alternative travel where possible and to only plan a journey by train if absolutely necessary.
On the strike day, Saturday, June 25, EMR will be operating all services that are possible to do so. On Sunday, June 26th, services will be affected and start running later than usual.
Network Rail will also be affected by strike action and the number of staff available will be reduced. Network Rail will be running their more larger control centres such as the one in Derby.
Therefore, lines that are controlled from these smaller sites - such as Nottingham to Skegness - are closed on strike days. Neil Grabham, Customer Service Director, East Midlands Railway, said: "We would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding this week - we know these strikes have significantly disrupted the lives of many of our customers right across the EMR network.
"However, there are more strike days planned and ongoing changes to services and we continue to urge customers to only travel by rail if necessary. Critically, on Thursday and Saturday we will not be able to operate any services east of Nottingham - which means no trains to Lincoln, Norwich and Skegness.
