East Midlands Designer Outlet to open for late night shopping

Late night shopping will return to the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet East Midlands from Thursday, October 27, with bargain hunters able to get a further 20% off already discounted prices.

As well as the discounts, specific brand goodie bags will be handed out to some customers by the guest services team. And roaming band 'King Brasstards' will be entertaining guests in musical bursts throughout the day from midday up until 8pm.

The site has a number of well-known brands like including Tommy Hilfiger, M&S, and BOSS. Three retailers, Lacoste, Luke 1977 and Claire’s Accessories, will be offering an extra 30% off at the event, which will start at 9am and run all the way through to 9pm, Derbyshire Live reports.

Paul Sutton, centre manager at East Midlands Designer Outlet, said: “With both the festive and spooky season around the corner, we are continuing to focus on offering our guests the chance to shop for high-quality, premium brands at great prices. Thursday’s late-night shopping exemplifies this promise by offering shoppers a wide range of deals from a variety of our well-loved brands that will help our guests find the perfect gifts for their loved ones.”

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands in Cannock will also be hosting a late-night shopping event on the same night. It will run from 9am until 10pm at the huge complex, which is located about an hour's drive from Derby and has proved popular with Derbyshire shoppers since opening last year.

In other East Midlands news, British beauty brand Molton Brown opened a pop-up last month. The luxury bath and bodycare firm opened a store at the centre on Thursday, September 22.

American fashion giant Tommy Hilfiger relocated into a bigger 4,627-square-foot unit in late July. The new outlet is located in a "prime position" next to Starbucks, by the huge shopping village's car park.

A new vegan food takeaway opened last month at near Alfreton. Nottingham-based firm The Filthy Vegan opened within the shopping complex's food court on Thursday, September 1.
