As Storm Franklin hits Nottinghamshire and the UK with strong winds, East Midlands Airport has urged passengers to check with their airlines before travelling.
Anyone heading to the airport on Monday February 21 is also urged to allow plenty of time for their journey as road and rail networks may be affected by the high winds.
A yellow weather warning is in place until 1pm on Monday and it is expected to be windy for the rest of the day as the storm remnants blow through the East Midlands.
In a tweet, East Midlands Airport said on Monday February 21: "Due to disruption caused by #StormFranklin today, passengers are advised to check with their airline for the most up-to-date flight information.
"We also advise allowing plenty of time for your journey to the airport, as road and rail networks may be affected."
Transport has been affected such as the tram in Nottingham on Monday morning with delays reported.
Gust were expected to reach as high as 52mph on Monday.
