Many people will be jetting off from East Midlands Airport to their holiday destination over the bank holiday weekend and coming summer months. For those who are travelling abroad, planning ahead for your trip away is essential. One of the first things people tend to think about is how they will be making their way to the airport.
With drop-off and pick up systems at the airport, a range of short stay and long stay car parks it can be difficult to know what option is best for you.

Car parking options at East Midlands Airport:
Rapid Drop-off
For rapid drop-off is located just in front of the check in entrance. It is priced £5 for 15 minutes, then you are charged £1 for every minute after.
Short Stay 1 & 3 car parks
Prices start from £6 for a 30 minute stay. Short and mid-stay parking is a quick route to the terminal. In short stay 1 and 3 you can park for 30 minutes for £6 or for up to an hour for £8. Blue Badge parking is available at Short Stay 1 car park also.

Blue Badge parking
Blue Badge parking is available at Short Stay 1 car park (free for first 30 minutes), where blue badge parking bays are clearly identifiable. Other airport car parking includes:
Long Stay 1 and 2
Long Stay car parks have a minimum of four days stay time. These are slightly further away from the terminal, however with a free airport bus transfer (which is served in the summer months) you can get there in 5 minutes. It is possible to work from within 10 minutes.
Jet Parks
The Jet Parks are the furthest away from the terminal (to the West of the DHL facility) and again are served by a free shuttle bus straight to the terminal.
Meet and Greet
Meet and greet is the closest car park to the terminal. This is when you drop your car off near the terminal and it is driven away by one of the EMA parking team who park the car in an area to the east of the airfield. The car is returned ahead of the passenger arriving back at EMA.
