Offering an unforgettable experience for the youngsters and a fun bonding time for the whole family, the event also aims to inform and educate visitors about what might easily be the most fascinating time in our planet's history.
There will be information boards, screens featuring documentaries and animations showing dinosaurs going about their daily routine, and even a sand pit where young explorers could try on an archaeologist's role excavating for fossils and dinosaurs skeletons.
A VR portal into the Jurassic world will open for the bravest visitors. Food, refreshments and memorable souvenirs will also be available on the route as you roam the park looking for the ancient beasts hiding between the trees and behind the bushes.
Naz Kabir, a spokesperson for Jurassic Encounter, says: "Last year, thousands of visitors all over the UK enjoyed a day out with our prehistoric beasts, and we're delighted to return for another tour in 2022.
"This year, we'll have new dinosaurs, even more interactive exhibits including a VR experience and an education cinema where families will be able to learn more about these incredible creatures."
The event will run until July 17 at the Newhailes House and Gardens premises.
Starting from £9.50, tickets are available on the event's website. Discounted tickets are still available for the Edinburgh event with the code EARLYBIRD20.
