A local couple have been left devastated after their dog was 'stolen' in East Lothian last week.
Maggie Scullion and partner David have appealed to find their beloved pooch Rosie after she went missing out on a family walk.
Heading out to Gullane beach on Sunday (May 15), the owners had began their walk at around 9.30am, before Rosie 'disappeared into the undergrowth.'
A usual walking route for the couple, Maggie and David had only realised something was wrong when the Border Terrier failed to reappear on the dunes.

Despite a frantic search, there have been no sightings of Rosie, and her distraught owners fear she may have been stolen.
Maggie, an IT Programme Director, who lives in Gullane, said: “It has been devastating and we’re desperate to get Rosie back home as soon as possible.

“Like all terriers she loves to explore in the undergrowth, but it’s not like her to go missing. We initially thought she had gone down a fox hole but we’ve had cameras down three times, including a drainage CCTV camera, so we now think she has been stolen.
Now rallying the community, the family have asked locals to check their CCTV or dashcams in the hope of being reunited with Rosie.
Maggie added: “Everyone in the village has been amazing with the way they have been helping in the search for her. Even the greenkeeping staff at the golf course have been out searching for her.”
