Several farmers in East Lothian have aired their concerns after spotting a 'suspicious' blue car being driven around private property in the area.
The local manager at Gosford Bothy Farm Shop & Butchery noticed the vehicle being driven behind the shop on the grounds. When the couple were asked what they were doing, they said they were sourcing scrap metal.
A number of other locals have raised alarm after seeing the people carrier allegedly scope out other properties in the area.

Craig Johnstone, manager of the Gosford shop said: "It was on Tuesday at around 11am, the farm shop was packed and they had driven up behind the shop where deliveries come in which was odd.
"Cars never come up that way as the car park is at the front. One of our members of staff asked what they were doing and said they were looking for scrap before telling him they couldn't speak English."
Farmer James Marshall also said: "I think being round the farm at that time and being up the back drive at farmhouse bit suspicious.
"The farm I work for now at Haddington caught it on CCTV on Sunday and they took four batteries from next door of the farm."

"It has no back window in it either so that makes it suspicious."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 12.05pm on Tuesday, 28 March, police received a report regarding a van in Aberlady. Advice was given to the reporter and enquiries are ongoing."
