Two major East Lothian stores have placed a ban on a group of teenagers running amok at their premises after a surge in antisocial behaviour.
Asda and McDonald's, in Dunbar, have recently imposed a ban on the same group of individuals as reports of anti-social behaviour, including physical abuse towards staff, was reported in the McDonald's branch.
Both stores confirmed today, February 16, that a small group of youths have been banned from entering in recent weeks, with both liaising with the community and the police to resolve the situation.

It is believed the same group of people have been causing trouble and unrest in both Asda and McDonald's, with no choice left but to impose such restrictions.
Locals in the past have been quick to speak out about the stress caused by youths, saying that staff in both stores are constantly having to throw individuals out for such behaviour.
A spokesperson for McDonald's also confirmed that: "In relation to antisocial behaviour, there have been reports of damage to property as well as physical abuse towards staff, leading to a number of people being ejected either my store security or in the most severe instances, the police."
They continued to say: "There is no wide ban on every teenager entering the premises, only the particular group that have been at the centre of recent incidents. The restaurant are particularly cautious, given their track record of abuse and damage to property."
A spokesperson for Asda shared similar insight into recent events, saying: "There’s wide ban on teenagers in place, a small number of young people have been banned for anti-social behaviour in the past few weeks."
