An East Kilbride restaurant is celebrating being 'top of the trips' having been voted as the town's best eatery on Trip Advisor.
Carrigans Eating House, on Strathaven Road, is celebrating a successful first two years in business - and it was this week topped off with its recommendation on the online ratings website.
The family-run business, with restaurants and function suites in Hamilton and Blantyre, have 604 reviews on the website - 473 of which rank 'excellent'.
A further 64 are ranked 'very good' by happy customers.
Co-owner Barry Carrigan told Lanarkshire Live : "We are delighted to rank first out of 76 East Kilbride restaurants in only our first two years of operation.
"Bear in mind also that we were closed off-and-on for the best part of nine months due the pandemic from March last year, so that makes it even more special to us.
"Thanks to all of our lovely customers for the amazing feedback.
"We have a fantastic team of staff here too and I would to personally thank them for all their hard work."
One of the reviews on Trip Advisor read: "First time visiting.
"Food was excellent and brilliant value for money, friendly and helpful staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be back."
Another said: "First lunch since lockdown and it didn’t disappoint as usual great customer service and food was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to return."
