East Belfast traffic delays expected due to 'emergency works'

Traffic delays can be expected in East Belfast over the next few days due to "emergency works".

Trafficwatch NI say the works are required for an NIE fault in the area.

There is a lane restriction with temporary traffic lights at road works in operation outside the morning and evening rush hours on the Dee Street Bridge, closer to the Sydenham Bypass end of Dee Street.

Trafficwatch NI added: "Delays can be expected and road users are advised to allow extra time for journeys in this area for the next few days while the fault is investigated/fixed."

In other traffic news regarding Portadown, they added: "Traffic signals at the junction of Lurgan Road and Upper Church Lane have been reported as being out.

"Motorists should approach junction with caution and prepared to stop and give way until repairs have been carried out."
