Earlybird shoppers rushing to get their hands on 'stunning' Christmas items from B&M

Christmas may still be over two months away, but some eager shoppers have been rushing to the nearest B&M to snap up a "stunning" festive bargain.

A Christmas dinner set at the discount shop, which comes with a stag and woodland design, has proved so popular buyers are searching store to store in an effort to get their hands on them.

The dishes start at an affordable £2.50 for a side plate, while dinner plate is £3.50, a dessert bowl £3 and the serving board £6.

People have taken to social media to either boast that they've managed to find a set or express frustration at stores having none on offer.

One Instagram user was thrilled to have got her hands on the tableware, reports The Sun.

They posted: "I’ve just seen these in my B&M. They are stunning. And I only bought what I needed this time! I can be trusted in B&M."

Another said: "I’ve checked four stores and can’t find them. Any idea if they should be in store and sold out or whether they are still to be released?"

Although the dining set can be viewed online, it can only be purchased in store, which has irritated some buyers.

One wrote on Instagram: "It would be good if I could order online, as I have a mobility issue and can’t walk round the shops, although I would love to."

Two women even said they will "get a date in the diary" to go for a B&M trip.

You can find your nearest B&M through the store locator tool on its website.

ASDA, meanwhile is selling a 12 piece festive set (four dinner plates, four side plates and four bowls) for £20 online, which actually works out cheaper than B&M. For the whole B&M set you'd be paying £36, but you obviously have the option to pick and choose what you want with their set.

With the cost of living crisis affecting people across the country, many households will be looking at ways to save money this Christmas.

To help those wanting to be careful, one money-saving mum has taken to TikTok to share her secret to keeping costs low.

The top tip involves buying goodies early and gradually building a box of gifts until December.

Posting under the acronym @the_willow_farm, the clip shows the mum filling a large carboard box with a selection of goodies - including Mini Cheddars and fun-sized cereal boxes.

She says: "So each time we go into a shop from September to December I buy an extra couple of treats and out them in the box," adding "they'll all be in date by December."

"And then in the final week of Christmas we open it up and we can take a look at what goodies we've got and it just makes it a little bit cheaper at Christmas."
