After being officially eliminated in the wild card round, the Philadelphia Eagles are preparing for 2024, and they have a lot of work to do to be compliant with the league’s cap rules before the start of the league year.
Where things currently stand, the Eagles are expected to have roughly $20,284,984 in cap space via OverTheCap, which ranks 18th in the NFL per Over The Cap.
That number could grow if the team opts to part ways with some expensive contracts or critical veterans.

Kelce signed a one year, $14.25 million contract with the Eagles last offseason. The contract is designed to allow the Eagles to carry Kelce on the roster until June of 2024 and place him on the retired list if he makes that decision.
If he does not want to retire the Eagles would be able to sign Kelce to an extension or would need to release him by early June.
