Eamonn Holmes ' agent has laughed off claims that This Morning viewers didn't like him.
The veteran presenter left ITV last year to front Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel alongside Isabel Webster on GB News.
Eamonn and wife Ruth were booted from there Friday and school holidays slot on This Morning and replaced with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
A report in this weekend's Mail On Sunday claimed that TV executives had carried out 'extensive analysis' which found Eamonn was no longer popular with fans of the ITV daytime show.
However, Jonathan Shalit, who represents the 62-year-old star, has slammed the suggestion that viewers had gone off Eamonn.
Shalit claimed Eamonn's new show is already beating high-profile rivals in the ratings - proving his client remains a TV powerhouse.
"I don’t believe a ‘source’ said anything that was official as ITV have always behaved with great respect to InterTalent," he told Yahoo.
"The facts are simple. Eamonn is one of the most loved broadcasters in UK.
"His GB News show now often beats his Sky News rival and the BBC have recommissioned his show Farm to Feast."
Eamonn hit the headlines over the weekend after a savage interview where he dissed his former employee ITV.
He branded former colleague Philip Schofield 'passive-aggressive' - and claimed he has a habit of 'snubbing people'.
He also called ITV 'sly' over his exit at the end of 2021.
Chatting with Daily Mail's Weekend magazine, Eamonn claims his former channel made it appear that he wanted to walk away from ITV when he had in fact been dropped.
Eamonn stated that "Phillip is renowned for snubbing people".
He went on: "He's very passive-aggressive. It's up to Ruth to say how she felt, but I was feeling hurt for her.
"No one would have snubbed me like that."
He then took aim at ITV, saying: "They're sly. They didn't want to announce that I'd been dropped because it would adversely affect audience figures, so they made it look as if I'd walked away from them rather than the other way round," the journalist sensationally revealed.
"They had a chat with my agent and announced that I was going to GB News when they'd done no more than ask if I'd be interested in joining them."
A spokesperson for ITV told the Mirror: "This isn't a version of events that we recognise and as we have said before we wish Eamonn all of the very best."
On the topic of diversity, they added: "As we have laid out in our Diversity Acceleration plan we are committed to improving representation both on and off screen and we publicly report on our progress against our commitments and targets."
