Eamonn Holmes says Holly Willoughby has 'stabbed Phillip Schofield in the back'

Eamonn Holmes launched into another attack on Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as GB News chaired a discussion on whether Holly "stabbed" her former co-host "in the back" following Phillip's exit from This Morning.

GB News presenter Isabel Webster questioned: [Has Holly] stabbed [Phillip] in the back?"

Eamonn who used to present This Morning with his wife Ruth Langsford, remarked: "Yes, she made her name on the back of him."

Isabel interjected: "But if he does something that she doesn't want to be associated with and she said, 'Either I go or he goes' is that stabbing someone in the back or is that saying, 'I have my own professional integrity and I don't want to be associated with something.'"

"Excuse me," Eamonn exclaimed. "If she has her own professional integrity then why isn't she coming out in public and saying, 'I have my own professional integrity, he has done something which will reflect badly on me.' But, she again is being as false as he is and nobody is talking about the elephant in the room."

Reading out Holly's statement, Eamonn said: "She says, 'I thank him for all his knowledge, his experience and his humour' all the things she didn't have when she came to the show."

Eamonn accused Holly of "using" Phillip and "stabbing him in the back".

GB News guest and journalist Dawn Neesom went on to address Eamonn and Ruth's "feud" with Phillip with rumours of the falling out emerging after it was reported Ruth reportedly filed an official complaint against Phillip after he cut her off during the crossover from This Morning to Loose Women.

Dawn said: "[Phillip] rudely interrupted Ruth when she was trying to do a link to Loose Women."

Interrupting, Eamonn said: "Look I could give you a list of the lack of kindness and the lack of awareness from both of them about how they would socialise with people around them...you just have to look at my phone to see the number of people glad to see the back of both of them."

Eamonn previously worked with Holly and Phil on This Morning before he, and his wife Ruth Langsford were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary as Friday presenters.
