Eamonn Holmes has given thanks for the "huge outpouring of affection from people" he has received during recent times.
The TV presenter's mum Josie, who he previously called his "hero", died on November 18, aged 93.
Eamonn also recently 'tumbled downstairs' and fractured his shoulder while recovering at home from major back surgery.

Posting on Twitter marking his birthday on Saturday, December 3, the North Belfast man said: "Hello Everyone... Recent health and personal events have resulted in a huge outpouring of affection from people I have the privilege of knowing and so many that I don't.
"I've done my best to say thank you and again I do today on the occasion of my birthday. [You are] all too good x."
Also posting on Instagram, the 63-year-old said: "So my Birthday today [Saturday] and Mum's tomorrow [Sunday]. She passed away just two weeks short of her 94th but we shall always be joined at the hip. Saggitarians. Always too alike."
TV personality Carol Vorderman replied: "What a lovely picture and always together with her at this time E xx."
