Fans of Eamonn Holmes said they wanted to give 'him a hug' after he shared a poignant image. The former This Morning presenter has been updating his social media followers this week as he hosted coverage of the Queen's death from outside Buckingham Palace.
The GB News presenter has spent the last week reporting from outside the iconic London landmark alongside his Breakfast co-host Isabel Webster. Appearing in a black suit and tie, Eamonn shared a picture of himself in the press tent and was soon being praised for his and his colleagues' coverage.

On Thursday, things turned rather 'eerie' as Eamonn filmed himself walking past St James' Palace, the most senior royal palace in the UK which last weekend was where Charles was officially declared King Charles III at an Accession Council. "This is my walk to work today," the TV star was heard saying from behind the camera.
"Not usual, but very beautiful. If not a bit haunted," he added as he continued to move through the dimly lit path around St James' Palace. And fans were quick to share their thoughts, saying how they could sense the 'heaviness' around in the wake of Queen Elizabeth's death. Another said it was "so sad and also so peaceful.."
And Eamonn managed to get the sombre mood across to his followers once again. In his latest Instagram snap, Eamonn posed in front of the late Queen's London residence and shared his feelings that have been with him since the monarch's passing. Standing with a walking stick and in his dark suit, the 62-year-old told his followers: "Lots of you look and feel as lost as I do in this picture.
"Everything is changing. What’s going on in the world? Strange times. Sad times." He then added: "Here’s to new better times soon #thequeen." And his fans and followers were quick to reach out. Reality star Vicky Pattison said: "Sending you love Mr." American journalist Kinsey Schofield replied: "I hope I get to see you when I’m there. I have a hug for you.
