Eamonn Holmes airs views on Meghan Markle as he clashes with co-host

Eamonn Holmes clashed with his GB News co-host as he aired his views on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's recent basketball appearance this week.

The Belfast man called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "the gruesome twosome" and claimed Meghan "can sniff out a camera from three miles" in a segment on the show on Wednesday, the Irish Mirror reports.

It came as the panel discussed the loved-up couple being filmed and snapped enjoying a LA Lakers basketball game in America earlier this week.

The 63-year-old clashed with his co-host Isabel Webster when discussing Harry and Meghan's public outing, days after it emerged only Prince Harry would attend the King's Coronation next month.

The couple, who live in California, laughed when they were caught on camera at the NBA basketball game on Monday night, but it caused headlines when Meghan seemingly declined a kiss as they appeared on the big screen in front of 20,000 people.

Discussing the moment on GB News this morning, Eamonn held a newspaper covering the moment and declared: "Here are the gruesome twosome, they are at a basketball game, as you would, because we are all hooked on basketball aren't we?

"There they are, and the thing is, when you see the other pictures everybody around them eats, everyone is just eating, they have food in their hands."

The former This Morning star then claimed: "But she can sniff a camera lens out from, you know three miles," to which his co-host Isabel interjected and quipped: "She looks great."

"But she knows where she sniffs the lens," Eamonn claimed once again.

Guest Scarlette MccGwire called Eamonn out for his comments and said: "Thank you, thank you Isabel I just... this is just a photo!"

Fellow guest David Mellor disagreed and claimed: "They aim for vulnerable people like you see."

As a row broke out in the GB News studio, host Isabel gushed: "I am no Meghan fan, but she looks hot, she looks great."

Her co-host Eamonn hit back and claimed: "So as long as she looks ok? That is what you are saying, that's because you're superficial.

"You're superficial, if she was an ugly person, if she was an ugly person you wouldn't be praising her."

Isabel didn't take the accusation from her co-star lying down, telling Eamonn live on-air: "No, I didn't say that. That is not what I said, that is not what I said, Eamonn Holmes."
