Eamonn Holmes made seven bombshell claims about Phillip Schofield and ITV in a no holds barred interview last night.
The GB News host, 63, said he was 'speaking out for those who had no voice' following the news his former colleague had embarked on a affair with a young runner on This Morning.
Eamonn, who used to present the daytime show with his wife Ruth Langsford, didn't hold back in the bombshell chat with Dan Wootton, who at times looked as shocked as the rest of us at home watching.
Here's the lowdown on what the veteran broadcaster had to say...
Ruth is still in touch with Phillip's former lover
Two days after stepping down from This Morning, Phillip admitted he had an "unwise" but "not illegal" affair with a younger ITV colleague.
When asked about the runner, who had moved from working on This Morning to Loose Women, Eamonn said: "Ruth and I particularly looked after him, he never once talked to us about any relationship, but we knew he was in a bad way and he was in a bad way fragilely.
"There’s an incredible duty of care that needs to go towards that young man."
"Are you still in touch with the young colleague? And is he doing okay?" Dan asked Eamonn.
He responded: "I'm not, Ruth is. I think life's tough for him."
Only ONE Loose Women star liked Phillip
Eamonn claimed only one of the Loose Women was in touch with Phillip because of the 'doors he could open' for her.
Speaking about the presenter's awkward exchange with Ruth in which he appeared to cut her off in 2019 when she was announcing the line-up on the show, he said: "As for the Loose Women, in the year that you're talking about, the panel that existed, I would say there was probably a minority of one that actually liked Phillip Schofield."
Loose Women stars felt 'demeaned' by Phillip
In his bombshell interview, Eamonn referenced Phil and Ruth's exchange on Loose Women back in 2019, saying: "He was so rude, so dismissive of the Loose Women."
Claiming a 'good presenter' would have been able to deal with shaving off 20 seconds from the time slot, Eamonn continued: "He was rude to Ruth, saying: 'Why are we doing this [introducing the Loose Women line-up? What's the point of this? '
"I know the Loose Women felt very demeaned."
Eamonn accuses Holly of faking her friendship with Alison Hammond
Eamonn used to work with Wylde Moon guru Holly and said he doesn't buy the mum-of-three's 'sudden' friendship with bubbly Brummie Alison, who has been on This Morning for 13 years.
He said: "This nonsense about Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond as her best friend and [Holly] was at Alison's birthday party...Alison Hammond goes to Holly Willoughby's select nights out with her friends..
"This wouldn't have happened two years ago. Are you kidding? Alison Hammond has been on the programme 13 years and I'm sure there was very little contact between her and the presenters.
The Mirror has reached out to reps for Holly and Alison.
Phillip lover driven from his home in cars paid for by ITV
Eamonn claimed Phillip's lover was transported from his home in taxis paid for by ITV.
"I didn't know but I've subsequently found out from a very, very good source, because he [the runner] would arrive much earlier in the morning than I would for the programme, that he was delivered from Phillip’s London home," he told Dan.
He added: "Usually on a Friday morning, because Thursday was playtime when he and Phillip would hit the town and then he obviously stayed overnight.
"There are records to show that he was brought in the next day separately in cars paid for by ITV."
Dan asked: "So the management would have had to have known about that?"
"Unless Phillip paid the bills separately, but it would still have to go through the Accounts Office that they would have seen that and known that and this lad, lovely fellow, lovely fella, really good talented fella," Eamonn replied.
Phillip's affair with younger colleague a 'cover-up' by ITV
Speaking about Phillip's affair with a younger male colleague on This Morning, Eamonn said: "It's an illusion, it's an illusion," as Dan asked: "Isn't it a cover-up?"
"It's a total cover-up," Eamonn claimed. Those in authority had to know what was going on and they thought they would dodge a bullet with this, and they do constantly.
"With Schofield talking about 'those who speak out against him' namely me, Amanda Holden, [Dan Wootton], you'll be included in the toxicity, Dr Ranj...you simply think, 'No mate, you've had it all your way for far too long.'"
Eamonn accuses Holly of 'using' Alison
While Phil, 61, has quit This Morning, Holly, 42, is expected to return, with Alison, 48, in the running to become her co-host.
The pair had great chemistry when they hosted the ITV show when Phil was off during his brother's trial.
Holly has been spending time with the Big Brother recently and even rocked up at her birthday party earlier this year.
However, Eamonn doesn't think the relationship is genuine, saying: "People just use other people and it's disgusting."
