Eamon Fyfe delighted to be able to make his mark at Coleraine

Eamon Fyfe's move from Dundela to Coleraine could not have gone much smoother.

The exciting forward has made the most of his game time with the Bannsiders so far and bagged his first goal in Saturday's 3-0 win at Dungannon Swifts.

It was a special moment for the 24-year-old, who admitted he has been surprised with how much first team action he has seen already.

"My time at Coleraine has been outstanding so far, I've really loved it," said Fyfe.

"I'm just playing my way into it, sort of thing, and I'm getting game time which I'm absolutely delighted with.

"I didn't think I'd get this much game time to be honest as we've got such a good squad. I'm really happy where I'm at."

His debut strike maybe won't win goal of the season but for Fyfe it was a very special moment to get off the mark on his seventh appearance with his new club.

"I'm pleased to be off the mark, just delighted," he said.

"It wasn't the hardest goal to be fair but I'll take it. I got a bit of luck but I took a decent touch and just blasted it into the net."

Fellow frontman Matthew Shevlin netted his 23rd and 24th goals of the season at Stangmore Park and Fyfe has been impressed with what he has seen from the striker so far.

"I don't know how he does it, but he's prolific that's all you can say about him," he said.

"He does the business and that's what you want from your striker."
