The Philadelphia Eagles are signing former Chicago Bears linebacker Nicholas Morrow, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
The Bears signed Morrow to a one-year deal last offseason, and he led the team in tackles and set career highs in total tackles (116), solo tackles (83) and tackles for loss (11) in 17 starts. He was an underrated contributor on defense, especially against the run.
Morrow was one of Poles’ best free agent additions in an otherwise underwhelming 2022 class. While Morrow started the season at MIKE linebacker, he shifted to WILL linebacker after Roquan Smith was traded to the Ravens. Morrow’s versatility and availability — he played 99.82% of defensive snaps — were definitely positives.

The Bears overhauled their linebacker corps with the free-agent additions of Tremaine Edmunds and former Eagle T.J. Edwards, which marked the end of Morrow’s tenure in Chicago.
Morrow joins running back David Montgomery (Detroit Lions) and offensive tackle Riley Reiff (New England Patriots) as the only other former Bears players from this free agent cycle who have found a new home.
