The Eagles previously interviewed former Green Bay Packers coordinator Joe Barry and former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell for the position.
The Dolphins hired Barry as their new linebackers coach/run game coordinator, while Caldwell joined the Las Vegas Raiders with the same title.
King started his career in 2010 as the assistant linebackers coach/defensive quality control coach before moving on to the Texans.
King has spent time in Houston and San Diego, and most recently with the Titans, where he previously coached Zach Cunningham.
