Eagles stun Saints with late Saquon Barkley touchdown

A short pass from Jalen Hurts to Dallas Goedert turned into a 61-yard gain and set up the second Saquon Barkley touchdown of the game as the Philadelphia Eagles downed the New Orleans Saints, 15-12, on Sunday at the Superdome.

The pass to Goedert undeneath saw multiple New Orleans players take each other out as the tight end romped down the sideline. The tight end had 10 catches for 170 yards in career game in the win.

New Orleans’ final drive ended when Reid Blankenship picked off Derek Carr.

The Saints’ powerful offense was stifled by the Eagles for almost 58 minutes. Carr was able to direct a touchdown drive that gave his team the temporary lead.

The Saints got a touchdown pass from Carr to Chris Olave with 2:03 left to take a 12-7 advantage.

New Orleans erupted for 91 points in the first two weeks but managed to crack 200 yards of total offense only on the touchdown drive, which went 50 yards in nine plays.

The Eagles gained more than 450 yards on offense.

The Eagles and Saints are both 2-1 after Week 3.
