Eagles Stars Downplay Rumors Of Locker Room Feud

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (11) celebrates with quarterback Jalen Hurts (1) during the second half of an NFL football game against the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood, Calif., Sunday,

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver A.J. Brown have dismissed rumors of any discord between them, emphasizing that their relationship remains strong. The speculation arose following comments made by defensive end Brandon Graham, who suggested a possible rift between the two Pro Bowl players. However, both Hurts and Brown affirmed that they are on good terms and have a deep personal connection both on and off the field.

Graham's initial remarks, hinting at changes in the dynamic between Hurts and Brown, sparked controversy in Philadelphia. Despite this, Hurts clarified that Graham had spoken out of turn and Graham later expressed his intention to apologize to both players for his assumptions. Brown, who recently voiced concerns about the team's offensive performance, clarified that his frustrations were not directed at Hurts but rather at various aspects of the offense, including play calling and execution.

Head coach Nick Sirianni also weighed in, stating that he had not observed any issues between Hurts and Brown. He highlighted the strong work ethic and camaraderie displayed by the two players, noting their dedication to improving together both during and after practice sessions. Sirianni emphasized the importance of teamwork and collective effort in achieving success in football.

While the Eagles have relied more on their running game this season, with Saquon Barkley breaking franchise records, there have been concerns about the team's passing game. Hurts, despite his efficiency and success in leading the team to a nine-game winning streak, has faced criticism for his recent passing yardage. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith has also struggled to replicate his previous season's success, adding to the offensive challenges faced by the team.

Looking ahead, the Eagles aim to address their offensive struggles as they prepare to face the Steelers in their upcoming game. Sirianni acknowledged the need for improvement in the passing game and stressed the collective responsibility of coaches and players in working towards success. As the Eagles continue their quest for a playoff spot, the team remains focused on overcoming challenges and performing at their best.
