Johnson had his contract terminated on Wednesday, and now we know that was simply the precursor to Johnson being around long-term after a promising summer.
Johnson was signed to the practice squad last November and returned on a reserve/futures deal this offseason.
Now, after impressing in training camp, Johnson is a part of Philadelphia’s long-term roster goals.
