Eagles right guard Cam Jurgens could miss several weeks with a foot sprain

Cam Jurgens proved he can be a quality right guard in the NFL, and now the second-year road grader will look to heal up after suffering a foot injury in the win over Washington.

According to Jeff McLane, Jurgens could miss several weeks with a significant sprain.

Jurgens is currently the 21st highest-graded guard in the NFL, according to PFF, and he was completing the fourth start of his career on Sunday afternoon.

With Jurgens out, Philadelphia could turn to the veteran Sua Opeta, or rookie third-round pick Tyler Steen.

Opeta, 27, is an experienced backup — having played 28 games with four starts in his NFL career after signing with the Eagles as a UDFA out of Weber State in 2019.
