Jalen Hurts grew up and flourished on the east side of Houston, Texas. He starred at Channel View High School and played for his father, Averion Hurts.
Now an All-Pro and MVP candidate with the Eagles, Hurts recently showed empathy and compassion for a rival high school.
According to Ian Rapoport, Hurts has offered to pay the funeral expenses for Jarvon Coles, A North Shore High School football player who died after being found unresponsive at a party with a gunshot wound Saturday night.
