Reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett received praise from some of the best offensive tackles. Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata of the Philadelphia Eagles recently named Garrett the best defensive player in the NFL during an episode of New Heights podcast. Jason and Travis Kelce host the New Heights podcast. The two tackles sat down with their former teammate Jason Kelce.
Lane Johnson, a four-time All-Pro and regarded as one of the best right tackles in NFL history, highlighted Garrett’s exceptional blend of size, speed, and strength, describing it as otherworldly. Johnson expressed his admiration, stating:
“He can move like [Micah] Parsons, but he’s 280. When you see his bend and the angles he can get to, it’s like, ‘Woah.’ Like something from another planet.”

These statements aren’t the first time Garrett has received praise from top NFL players. Following the Browns’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers last season, future Hall of Famer Trent Williams also praised Garrett, calling him a future Hall of Famer.
Both Eagles players will have the opportunity to face Garrett next season, as their teams will compete against each other. The exact date of the matchup is yet to be confirmed, but there are rumors that it could be the NFL’s season debut in Brazil on Friday, September 6th. The NFL’s schedule for the upcoming season is expected to be released during the second week of May.
