Eagles made history while dropping a Double-Nickel on Commanders in NFC Championship game

The Eagles scored seven rushing touchdowns as a team and are heading to Super Bowl LIX after dismantling the talented Washington Commanders, 55-23, in a dominant NFC Championship win.

Philadelphia made a lot of history on Sunday, and the Double-Nickel dropped on Washington was the most in NFC Championship history.

MVP candidate and likely AP Offensive Player of the Year, Saquon Barkley, had 15 carries for 118 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Barkley has rushed for 414 yards and seven touchdowns this season vs. the Washington Commanders.

A.J. Brown had six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown, while Dallas Goedert had seven for 85 yards on the afternoon. The Eagles defense held the juggernaut of a Commanders offense to 350 yards as Jayden Daniels was 29 of 48 passing for 255 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and a 72.8 rating.

Daniels punished the Eagles with six carries for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Philadelphia will await the winner of Sunday night’s massive matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
