Eagles’ Jason Kelce Explains Sideline Outburst During Win Over Rams

The Eagles were able to maintain their perfect record Sunday with a win over the Rams, but the victory didn’t come without some drama.

During the matchup, Philadelphia center Jason Kelce was seen engaging in animated sideline conversations with coaches, in which he appeared frustrated after the offense came up short in the red zone during the fourth quarter.

After the 23–14 win, Kelce addressed the incident.

“I’m not going to get into it,” Kelce told reporters. “I think that I love everybody in this building like a family. I’ve been here a very long time. And I think I just got a little bit too heated. The red zone has been frustrating, I think for everybody. We’ve left a lot of points on the board, and I let myself get too frustrated, too animated and it wasn’t productive.”

“So for me, though, I cannot overstate this: I think I always get the most heated and the most emphatic with the people that I love and respect,” Kelce continued. “I don’t know why that’s the case. It’s always been the case.”

The Eagles offense had four trips to the red zone in the second half on Sunday but failed to score a touchdown in those situations, prompting Kelce’s fiery outburst.
