Eagles fans come through with classy gesture for LA wildfire victims ahead of Rams game

Philadelphia Eagles fans are offering a lending hand for those impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. Ahead of Sunday’s game against the Ram, a group of Eagles fans have come together to start a GoFundMe page to raise money for people affected by the fires.

The funds will go toward the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund, helping those who lost their homes and valuables amid the destruction.

As of writing, the page has raised $11,376 from 274 donations and the goal has been raised to $18,000.

Here’s the message from the GoFundMe page.

Now that we know the Rams are our opponent and obviously LA is dealing with some seriously crazy stuff right now, I thought it might be nice ahead of the game to offer some help and support LA’s way from birds fans (and especially after that horrible fan made life miserable for an opposing Packers fan and went viral for it). This fund is organized by Eagles fans in the Philadelphia area and beyond to benefit the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund.

We’re still gonna kick the Rams’ butts, but there’s plenty of people in and around LA (Rams and birds’ fans alike) that could use some help right now. I know a lot of the attention is going towards celebrities but there are plenty of everyday people who have lost a lot during this and are risking life and limb to help others.

It’s a kind gesture by fans in Philadelphia and everyone knows just how much help the people of Los Angeles will need during this lengthy rebuilding process.

The Rams and other Los Angeles teams have all donated $1 million, with organizations and philanthropists around contributing to various charities and relief funds. The Texans and Vikings, who the Chargers and Rams played last week, also donated $1 million each.
