Eagles enter the bye week 8-1 after a 28-23 win over Cowboys in Week 9

The Eagles are the only 8-1 team in the NFL after a thrilling 28-23 win over the Cowboys that went down to the final play.

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 374 yards and three touchdowns, with CeeDee Lamb accounting for 11 catches and 191 yards.

For Philadelphia, Jalen Hurts shook off a hit on his injured left knee, and finished the contest with 207 yards and two touchdowns, while he ran for another score, securing his first win over Dak Prescott.

The Eagles are the only 8-1 team in the NFL.

With the Birds heading into the bye week, here’s an instant analysis of the win.

The Eagles offensive coordinator continues to add new wrinkles, and did a solid job of being efficient in the run-pass balance.

Philadelphia running backs had 23 carries, and Jalen Hurts passed the football 23 times.

The Eagles running back had 18 carries for 43 yards, and also hauled in 2 catches for 31 yards on the night.

Brown had his consecutives games streak of 125+ yards snapped, but he still logged 7 catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Brown also went over 1,000 yards for the second straight season.

The Eagles tight end had 5 catches for 60 yards, but all fans and experts care about is the injured forearm that could keep Goedert out beyond the bye week.

Philadelphia got the win, but the Eagles defensive coordinator had several questionable calls and allowed CeeDee Lamb to have his way with a heavily scrutinized secondary.

The Birds allowed 19 passing first downs, and 406 total yards on 70 offensive plays for Dallas.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 374 yards and 3 scores, with a 115.2 rating.
