Eagles elevate LB Ben VanSumeren for Monday night matchup vs. Chiefs

With Nakobe Dean out and on injured reserve, the Philadelphia Eagles are elevating rookie linebacker Ben VanSumeren from the practice squad to the active roster for Monday night.

The Eagles have also ruled out defensive end Derek Barnett (personal reasons), safety Justin Evans (knee), and tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm) for tonight’s game. The remaining inactives will be announced shortly.

The undrafted rookie made his NFL debut in Week 9 when the Eagles beat the Cowboys, logging ten snaps on special teams during the game.

The 23-year-old has spent most of the season on the practice squad after leading the NFL with 26 tackles in the preseason.
