The Eagles could be without Darius Slay in Week 9 after the star cornerback was forced to exit the win over the Bengals with a groin injury.
Slay became lame in the second half and was replaced by Isaiah Rodgers, who was opposite Quinyon Mitchell. During his most recent episode of the Big Play Slay podcast, the veteran cornerback said he’d have an MRI within the next few days to determine the severity of his injury.
Slay logged 41 snaps before departing and finished with four tackles and one big pass breakup that prevented a touchdown catch. If Slay were to miss an extended time, Philadelphia would have depth at the cornerback spot and could turn to Isaiah Rodgers and Kelee Ringo, who are available for Week 9 against the Jaguars.
