Eagles are officially locked into the No. 2 seed after Vikings 27-25 win over Packers

On Sunday, the Eagles completed a season sweep and captured the NFC East with a 41-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.

The win gives Nick Sirianni’s team the No. 2 seed and no shot at the No. 1 seed after the Vikings’ 27-25 victory over the Packers on Sunday afternoon.

Minnesota (14-2) will face Detroit (13-2) in Week 17 for the NFC North and a first-round bye.

That scenario gives Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni something to ponder as he decides on Saquon Barkley chasing Eric Dickerson.

Playing without quarterback Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee tossed touchdown passes as the Eagles outscored the Cowboys 75-13 in two regular-season meetings this season.

In the win, records were broken.

Barkley carried the football 31 times for 167 yards (5.4 avg), eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark, and was 101 yards shy of Eric Dickerson’s 2,105 yards, set in 1984.
