After three years of hiring his disciples, the Eagles finally landed the guy.
Fangio has been a defensive coordinator with Carolina, Indianapolis, Houston, San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami. Fangio was Denver’s head coach from 2019-21.
In 2023, the Dolphins finished 10th in the NFL in yards allowed (18th in 2022) and ninth in yards allowed per play (14th in 2022). The Dolphins also finished third in the NFL in sacks (56) and tied for eighth in forced turnovers (27).

Parker worked with Eagles Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio when Fangio was the Broncos’ head coach in 2021.
Prior to coaching with the Broncos, Parker was in Green Bay as a quality control coach for two seasons. He interviewed for defensive coordinator positions with New England and Green Bay this offseason.
Clint Hurtt, Senior Defensive Assistant/Defensive Line
Hurtt joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2017 as a defensive line coach, was promoted to assistant head coach in 2018, and spent the last two seasons as the team’s defensive coordinator. Before joining the Seahawks, Hurtt was a defensive line and linebackers coach for the Chicago Bears from 2014-16, working for new Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio, who was the Bears’ defensive coordinator from 2015-18.
