Nicholas Morrow has been outstanding in Dean’s absence and it’ll be interesting to see how Sean Desai distrubutes playing time.
Nakobe Dean activated
Dean started his first career NFL game in the Eagles season opener agaisnt the Patriots, and he suffered a foot injury and has not played since.
Dean returned to practice this week and was a full participant on Friday.
WR Quez Watkins
Dean and Watkins will switch spots, with the veteran wide receiver heading to injured reserve with a hamstring ailment on Friday and ruled out for Sunday’s game.
Watkins previously missed two games with a hamstring injury – the team has not disclosed whether he reaggravated it in practice – and returned for the win over the Rams. Now, he will miss at least four games, which means he’ll return after the bye week against Kansas City on November 20.
Watkins has four catches for 21 yards this season.
WR Devon Allen
With Watkins out, Allen was elevated from the practice squad for the first time this season.
Allen, a two-time Olympian, made his NFL debut in the Week 3 win over the Buccaneers, playing on special teams.
DB Mekhi Garner
The big, physical rookie out of LSU will make his NFL debut.
Garner is a 6-2, 212-pound stud, and with Darius Slay out at cornerback as well as Justin Evans down at safety, Garner provides depth in the secondary.
