Dom DiSandro plays an integral role in the Eagles’ success, and with the team looking to ensure he’s never banned from the sidelines again, he’s been given a semi-promotion and added responsibility within the organization.
Jeff McLane of The Inquirer reports that Philadelphia’s security director will now have the title of ‘gameday coaching operations.’

DiSandro was banned from the sidelines for the rest of the regular season after he was ejected from Philadelphia’s blowout loss to San Franciso following an incident on the sidelines.
An already intense game grew chippy after tensions escalated when Dre Greenlaw tackled Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith after the whistle near the Philadelphia sideline.
The late hit drew a 15-yard penalty, and as players from both teams got involved in a mini-scuffle, DiSandro, the Eagles security chief, stepped in between Greenlaw and DeVonta Smith.

While separating the two, DiSandro touched Greenlaw, who took exception and shoved the Eagles’ security before things simmered down.
Greenlaw and DiSandro were ejected, and San Francisco would win 42-19.
The change in DiSandro’s title and game-day duties means he’s now a part of the coaching staff, and it’ll prevent the league from being able to discipline him should there be another episode on the sideline with his involvement.
