Eagles’ A.J. Brown takes partial blame for beef with Titans fans

The Tennessee Titans’ Week 13 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles is going to be an emotional one.

Outside of the fact that two playoff teams are playing against each other on Sunday, A.J. Brown, who had a bad breakup with the Titans, will be facing his former team for the first time.

It seems like every chance the superstar wideout gets, he tries to disparage the team that drafted him in some way, shape or form.

Whether it was saying he had “no fun” while playing for head coach Mike Vrabel, who publicly stood by his side through anything and everything, or throwing shade at his former team as their receivers visibly struggled on “Sunday Night Football,” Brown has seemingly embraced the villain role.

Making his relationship with Titans fans even worse, Brown has gotten into some dust-ups with them on Twitter since the trade, also.

When asked about his beef with his former fan base following the Eagles win last Sunday night, Brown took partial blame for the issue and recognizes he isn’t well-liked by the team’s fans anymore.

“Oh, they hate me,” Brown said, per NFL Network’s James Palmer. “Part of it is my fault. I mean some people still love me, but I think the majority of their fans are out to get me. It’s a part of it though.”

The Eagles wide receiver claims the Titans’ fan base hates him and are “out to get me,” which is far too strong. Let’s call it a strong dislike.

That said, there was definitely some animosity towards Brown right off the bat with the way things went down with the trade, but he certainly hasn’t helped his cause.

At least Brown took some accountability by saying “part of it is my fault” in regards to his newfound hatred by the fans that once adored him.

The only thing that could make this game more dramatic would be if it took place in Nashville. Unfortunately, we won’t get that scenario, but make no mistake about it, Sunday’s game will be must-watch television regardless.
