Eagles' A.J. Brown Clears the Air Over Sideline Dispute With Jalen Hurts

Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown and quarterback Jalen Hurts could be seen having what appeared to be a heated discussion during the win over the Vikings last Thursday.

After Hurts addressed the incident in a postgame interview, Brown spoke on the matter on Thursday, indicating that he has no beef with his quarterback.

“The little sideline discussion, I want you all to know that's what it was -- it was a discussion,” said Brown to reporters on Thursday, via ESPN. “This is a game that we both love, and I want everybody to understand that sometimes emotions run high. That doesn't mean it's the end of the world. That doesn't mean I'm beefing with Jalen.”

Brown indicated that at the end of the day, the most important thing was a win.

At the time of the interaction, Brown had logged just three receptions for 17 yards. He had four catches for 29 yards by the end of the game.

Speaking after the game, Hurts said, “I think everybody wants to make plays and everybody wants to contribute. I have no worry about him, he’s a great player, a great teammate, a great friend, and we’ll do anything and everything to win.”

The Eagles take on the Buccaneers on Monday in Week 3, at which point Brown will look to score his first touchdown of the year after being held out of the end zone in each of Philadelphia’s first two games. He made clear on Thursday that he and Hurts have no issues, likening the incident to emotions running high.
