A seemingly innocent candle caused an uproar at the late Queen's funeral - and now the saga has been dragged up again by South Park.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were Trey Parker and Matt Stone's latest targets, using a the fictional Prince and Princess of Canada to mock the couple.
While not directly named, it was blatantly obvious who they're targeting in the outrageous episode, which features a scene on the royal prince wiping his blue todger against a window.
There were a lot of hidden jokes and references throughout the episode - and only eagle-eyed viewers noticed a reference to the infamous 'candle scandal'.
The episode starts with a spoof of the late Queen's funeral - but uses fictional Canadian versions of the Royal Family.
The Prince and Princess of Canada, aka Harry and Meghan, are booed by the rest of the royals because they have been 'bashing the Canadian monarchy'.
As they walk down there is a candle in clear sight - and clever viewers have pointed out it's identical to the one at Queen Elizabeth II's actual funeral.
During the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, several people took to Twitter to question whether Meghan had been positioned behind a candle on purpose.
Meghan was sat next to her husband and Princess Beatrice in the second row, behind Queen Consort Camilla, but her face was blocked by a large yellow candle.
For much of the State Funeral service, only her black hat could be visible to those watching on television at home.
There is no suggestion the placing of one of four candles surrounding Her Majesty's coffin was intentionally positioned to obscure Meghan's face.
But this didn't stop the South Park lads poking fun at it by making sure a candle was visible when the Prince and Princess of Canada walked down into the funeral service.
Some eagle-eyed viewers took to Twitter after spotting the candle in one of the opening scenes from the episode.
One person wrote: "I'm so thrilled for the candle it made a special appearance!"
"Not the Candle making an appearance at the church. Bet the #SouthPark writers had a big laugh developing this animation. The attention to details was something else," added another.
A third said: "They included the candle! Ha ha ha! maybe the creators of #SouthPark have been watching this saga with us all along!"
After almost a week, the couple have now issued a statement about the criticism they received from the cartoon.
In light of the episode, there were some reports claiming they were considering legal action against the cartoon makers.
However, their spokesperson reportedly said "this is baseless and boring" in a statement given to Newsweek.
While Meghan's half-sister Samantha Markle has slammed the couple for reacting to a cartoon show.
"It's a cartoon," she said while appearing on GB News, telling presenter Dan Wootton that the couple "can't claim copyright on likenesses".
"Excuse me, I never got the memo that God died and they become God," Samantha sensationally claimed during her interview. "Suddenly [they] got a copyright on all things comedy."
